Hey Church welcome to Vision Sunday. We want to share with you some of the incredible highlights from 2022 and look ahead to some of the plans in store for 2023.
Our theme for 2023 is FUTURENAUTS. A made up word we know. It’s a convergence of two words future and nautical. Astronauts sail the stars, cosmonauts, the cosmos and our vision is to discover the future that God has planned for us.
We are so grateful to God for all that he has done and we are grateful to you for your partnership with him and your unity as a Church.

KIDS
In 2022 as part of the GOO leadership transition, Eliie Hall and Jacob Yeomans began leading their own teams.
This year we will be taking some GOO leaders to a conference which will provide specific SEND training to enhance our GOO teams.

TEACHING
At the start of this year we have done a training evening with Campus Pastors on teaching in an expository manner.
This year we will extend that training to other speakers across IKON.

CONNECT GROUPS
At the start of this year we ran connect leaders training for new connect groups.
This year we want to start 3 new Connect Groups in April and another 5 in September.

PASTORAL
In 2022 we ran a trial of a course called Keys To Freedom which will be a great resource for us at IKON Church.
With that in mind, this year we are going to launch the Keys To Freedom course in June.

DISCIPLESHIP & LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
In 2022 we launched the Follow Jesus website. The website is being widely used across IKON Church and externally, with positive feedback on how it is helping people connect more with God.
At the start of this year we started our latest Alpha course. We have 14 people in 2 groups with cross campus representations also including someone who is joining us from France!
This year we aim to add more new content to our Follow Jesus website, such as guided prayer and practical how-to videos on essential discipleship practices.
We’re looking forward to the Alpha Holy Spirit day on 18th March, seeing the fruit of God's work in action. We are also planning to investigate and run Youth Alpha in 2023 as this has been relaunched for the next generation.
We also plan to run next steps courses and host new people’s lunches across campuses.

PRAYER
In 2022 we established a Prayer Shield, which is a group of individuals praying for furtherance of the vision of IKON Church and protection of the church and its leaders. Also at the start of 2023 had a powerful start with our 21 days of prayer and fasting, we hope that you connected to God in an amazing way during this time.
This year we really want our prayers to impact not only the individuals in and connected to IKON Church, but also the places we live and world issues, therefore we are working on a way of doing this regularly, as a church, within our own families.

YOUTH
In 2022 we started two new connect groups and raised up two new youth leaders
This year we are running a youth leaders training day to help equip and empower UK youth ministries
Ben & Hannah Lloyd - IKON Stocksbridge Campus Pastors & Youth Pastors
CREATIVE
In 2022 we held our first songwriting retreat, from which came 7 songs. 3 of these have already been introduced in church and youth.
This year we are working towards and praying for 20% growth in our Creative team across all campuses.
