What will this Academy year look like?

• 10 Zoom sessions, once a month on a Thursday evening (7-9:15pm).

• Every session will consist of an hour of teaching from Paul Benger, followed by a second lecture from one of the Academy team (with breaks for discussion & reflection).

• Each session will be accompanied by further reading and/or optional assignments to help you get the most out of your time as part of the Academy.

• There will also be the opportunity to take part in a field trip, likely sometime in 2025 (location, dates & cost TBC).
  

How much will this Academy year cost?

• For this year only, ILA is available for all alumni free of charge.

• The cost for the 2024/25 year for non-alumni students is £200 per person.

• This can be paid upfront as a lump sum, or paid as a series of smaller payments over a few months. To further explore these options, please contact Nathan at nathanblood@ikon.church

• The optional field trip will be self-funded.
  

What content will be included?

Some examples of possible lecture content are:

• The purpose of the Church

• Leadership lessons & principles

• Theological / Scriptural deep-dives

• Hermeneutics

• Sermon preparation & delivery

When will the 2024/25 sessions be held?

Confirmed dates for 2024:

• Thursday 19th September, 17th October, 21st November & 12th December

Provisional 2025 dates (subject to change):

• Thursday 23rd January, 20th February, 20th March, 17th April, 22nd May, 19th June

• Graduation will take place in early July 2025

Applicants are expected to commit to attending a minimum of 80% of Academy sessions; if this expectation is not met then students may be asked to leave the cohort without graduating.
